Director Mark Power is a classically trained tenor with extensive performance experience including with Amato Opera in New York City. Mr. Power is a former public school teacher and has 20 years of experience teaching children and adults in many settings.
Marks Recent and Current Projects:
*Composition of an original opera "Twenty three and a half". ROCC children had the unique experience to help develop the opera in a workshop setting during the summer of 2009.
*Vocal instructor to Children and adults, including many performers in the Seattle area. Many students have received full scholarships to top vocal and performance colleges and universities in the country.
*"Light in the Piazza", Bainbridge Performing Arts
*Composition of an original opera, "the Brothers Power."
*Black Belt and certified instructor of Hapkido. Owner of
Hapkido House, martial arts studio.
*Pre-production phase of La Traviata with a modern English libretto and contemporary feel that preserves the original score.
Co-Director: Elizabeth Power
Co-director, Elizabeth Power is a singer, Clinical Psychologist, Career Coach and certified Pilates instructor. Her areas of specialty include Child Psychology and counseling and coaching for the performing artist. The Powers live in Seattle with their two daughters.
